Introduction
The American Association of Spinal Cord Injury Nurses
presents The Staff Nurse Award for Excellence in SCI Nursing, The Expanded
Role Award for Excellence in SCI Nursing, and The Distinguished Service Award to persons who have made significant
contributions in the area of spinal cord impairment nursing.
Procedure:
Any nurse who meets the criteria may be nominated for an award.
Nominations may be submitted by a member of the AASCIN, or a
professional colleague.
Nominee must provide written consent.
Nomination must be completed by providing eight (8) copies of all
required informational materials and must be postmarked by January 15th.
All information received for consideration by the Membership Committee
will be deemed confidential.
Members of the membership Committee cannot nominate anyone for an
award, nor can they themselves be nominated, nor can they write letters of
support for any nominee, during their term on the Committee.
Members of the Board of Directors cannot nominate anyone for an award,
nor can they write letters of support for any nominee, during their term
on the Board.
